In line transmission filter?

Below is a picture of a traditional cellulose filter media compared to the newer Baldwin B7311-MPG synthetic nano-technology filter media shown below it. The red dots represent in size a 2 micron and 5 micron particle. This was taken with a scanning electron microscope magnified 1000 times. I think this clearly shows why the newer synthetic media filter is so much better at filtering.
