Hello from Michigan! The land where Scouts are very rare, (Salt on our roads ate them all, years ago). I purchased a Scout 80-800 from a Ranch in Montana back 15 years ago. I bought it on Ebay and had it shipped to me. I used it maybe 35 miles total. It's been sitting in my Garage for the last 9 years unused. I'm 70 and my son has convinced me that if you have a "Toy" you should play with it, so now it's cleaned up and ready to use BUT - I have no Idea what year it really is? Based on photos from this website it looks like a collection of several years parts pieced together? I can't tell from the VIN number what year it is because it's long before the 1980 Standardization on numbering. Here is the Serial number 781907G313513 can anyone tell me it's age

Not sure if anyone here has a serial number book or not. If not you can try IH Parts America or another vendor. Some can get you the Line setting ticket off the VIN. Im not sure what there is for serial numbered Scouts though. Good Luck

Thank you for the info. This past week I've learned my Master cylinder is Pre 65, rear brake pistons1966 and front axle 1969. the tag on the firewall says model 800 but it's held in place with Phillips screws so - is it original ?? Doesn't really mater I love it anyway. Thanks again.

Scout 80 and 800 vin plates were from factory held on with Philip screws in the engine bay.
Pictures really help in determining years as your description did nothing in describing the Scout.
Also, I would suggest calling Super Scout Specialist and ask them order your lineset ticket which will tell you the year your scout is suppose to be and the items it came with. It is around $20 and you just give them your Vin number.
