Hi Guys,

I have a wiper motor that when pulled an tested it worked on one speed. Its now mounted and I got the re wire 90% complete. I have a painless wiper switch but not getting any action off the motor. The washer pump works but the motor is not turning. Going to run thru the wiring to the motor, check ground, verify that the arms are not stuck and preventing the motor from turning. But has anyone tried the painless switch and it just does not work with our motors? Id like to verify that before tearing all down again. I'm so close to finally firing her up after being apart for the last 5-6 years. Don't want to take the chance of registering her and asked to test the wipers.

It should work if you ask me.... 12 volts is 12 volts but the amps could be to low.

Can you try putting a bosch type relay in between?

Did you get any movement when you very first tried the switch? Or nothing at all? When I first put my truck back together I had the linkage on the motor 180 degrees off, the motor ruined itself trying to push the wipers down into the windshield rubber seal, instead of up. If that's not the case, try testing for voltage when the switch is on.

Ugghghh!! thank for the response guys. turns out the actual arms that connect the motor to the blades was rusted solid and wasn't going to budge. Swapped them out, happened to have a spare, and we have success. Tested everything but those dang arms never entered my mind.
