New guy on the block

Post by SCOUTPROP@GMAIL.COM »

Hi Guys

Spoke with Fritz today and he suggested I join the forum. I have a 1963 Travelall that I have been playing around with for several years now. It's an original 2wd C1100 but I thought it would be a great idea to switch it over to 4x4. Bought transfer case, axles and a Saginaw power steering pump from Mike Ismail. Mike has been great over the years but he doesn't work on trucks anymore. Had a friend who was really confident he could pull off the conversion but he has not really been able to find the time to get to it. Does anyone know of someone who may be able to pull off this job in the Los Angeles area? As everyone on the forum knows when you talk Harvester stuff most people are really clueless.

Thanks!

Mark

Curious if you got the stock transfer case and axles, or something modern.

Hi Ed,

It's stock. I have the original small V-8 in the truck with manual trans. My truck is parked in Buena Park.

New guy here I had a1980 diesel Scout II. My father in law owned an IH dearer ship and in 1989 he liquidated his Scout part inventory, I ended up with brand new Scout II emblems and still have them, I would like to sell them?

Hi Mark

you can try rockteck in la habra. Chris used to do lots of scout work but mostly jeeps now. He knows his stuff. Might be worth a call to him.
