Re: body shop in san diego county
I've found that every body shop I've contacted over many years, are expensive in California.
Much of the expense seems to come from government regulations and compliance with the myriad of laws here (environmental, occupational, and industrial). I have a shop that I trust implicitly, the work is top-shelf, but they are not cheap.
I have co-workers that take their vehicles to Mexico for body work & paint, and the results have been good but you have to know the shop you're dealing with.
If you are able to find a shop here that does good work, inexpensively - I'd appreciate hearing about them.
