Poly Tank - Sending Uit - Fuel Gauge

Anyone else with poly tank have issues with the sending unit? My gauge only read from 1/2 to full. 1/2 appears to be empty. Gauge is new, sending unit is the 2nd one so new, and all wiring is new. As far as I could tell the float was not touching the bottom of the tank in anyway. I need to take reading off the sender and the gauge to verify that they are sending out the correct ohms but just wondered if anyone has run into this before. Drives me nuts not knowing the correct fuel amount in my tank.
