New to Scouting

Post by GW Buffalo »

Hey all!
I'm the proud new owner of a 72' Scout II. This will be my first effort wrenching on a truck this old so i'm hoping to find lots of local resources to ease my pain.

My 1st question: The Scout actually has a Scoutswest decal on it and i don't think it was put on by the guy i bought it from. Not sure how many decals are out there, but i figured it would hurt to see if anyone recognizes it.

Good, bad or otherwise i figure a little history would be an advantage. I know the axles aren't original (i have disc brakes and a Dana 44 up front).

Thanks in advance!

Hey, welcome aboard. I don't recognize your Scout, but give it some time, someone will I'm sure. We just got the website up & going so the old timers have to get set-up again.

Very sad we lost a wealth of information, but over time our new site will fill it's coffers with the same amount and hopefully more nuggets of wisdom

I have seen pictures of your scout before. No info on history tho. Great looking scout! Welcome to Scouts West!
