scout 80 V.I.N information

First of all i would like to say hi to the members , my name is Brian and i am new to the group, i just recently was given a scout 80 and plan on restoring it to original as much as i can, i am not sure exactly what year it is, i am looking for anyone who knows how to identify the year and drive train information, any help would be appreciated, again hello to everyone
