Fuel Tank - Carb issues

Post by peterpillsbury »

Anyone have a lead on where I can get a new 20 gal fuel tank replacement? 1964 Scout80 - the three original tanks were taken out a long time ago. The current 20 gal one full of rust.

Update: Getting estimate on fuel tank restore from Orozco's in Bellflower.

Scout 80 only came with the 9 gallon side saddle tanks.
Anything that you have in the rear is something a previous owner installed.
I have heard of Scout II metal 19 gallon tanks being installed in the rear between the rails, but I have not seen one personally.

You can always try to have your tanks acid dipped to clean them out.
